Dish Network Expressvu Keys Give Viewers Access To Hundreds Of TV Channels

Dish Network Expressvu keys are security codes entered into satellite TV receivers. These codes work in conjunction with access cards to give subscribers those channels and services for which they have paid. Dish Network Expressvu keys are periodically refreshed to ensure that subscribers are receiving only those channels they have paid for. These keys are also designed to keep hackers or testers from gaining access to satellite services.

ExpressVu, a Bell Canada subsidiary, was founded in 1997. The company is Canada’s largest provider of satellite TV services. Dish Network Expressvu keys are tools required by providers of satellite TV and satellite Internet service to keep testers from gaining access to encrypted broadband signals transmitted to satellites and then rebroadcast to direct to home satellite signal receivers. These keys are programmed into the receivers to identify access cards subscribers receive when they buy satellite programming or Internet packages.

The cost of providing satellite TV and Internet services is huge. Companies providing this service invest tremendous amounts of money in equipment and personnel to continually redesign, build and operate this equipment. The benefits are also great. ExpressVu, for example, offers Canadian viewers up to 400 channels of entertainment and educational TV. These viewers receive high quality digital signal, regardless of where they live, from Quebec to the remote mountain regions of British Columbia.

At issue is whether or not satellite TV service providers have the right to use public domain airwaves and space to deliver a service for which they charge the public to access. This is an issue being decided by the courts in a number of countries. It will likely takes years to completely sort out. In the meantime, the satellite service providers view Dish Network Expressvu keys as a necessary security device to protect their investment.
