As the Dish Network vs cable debate continues the results are in from a nationwide survey done recently: For the fourth year in a row, the Dish Network and its parent company EchoStar, America’s most popular digital satellite TV service provider, ranks above all cable companies in customer satisfaction. The satellite and cable television providers were rated by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

According to the survey, the Dish Network ranked highest in customer satisfaction in a comparison of digital satellite TV vs cable companies. The service provider posted the highest index score among all service providers included in the ACSI and tied with the other largest satellite TV provider. The score of 71 for EchoStar reflects customers' overall satisfaction with satellite TV vs. cable. Comcast, the largest cable company, scored 56 out of 100. The ACSI study surveyed consumers in 2004 about quality, overall value, customer loyalty and retention.
