Satellite Expressvu Keys and Dish Network Keys Are Used To Circumvent Subscription
Fees.
Inventive minds can breach any security system. This truism
certainly applies to Satellite Expressvu keys and Dish Network keys. These keys are the security codes
programmed into satellite TV receivers. These are the receivers that people have
in their homes or businesses. Satellite Expressvu keys and Dish Network keys are designed to give
subscribers access to only those TV channels and satellite services for which
they have paid.
Some computer hackers and technologically adept hobbyists
have discovered how to gain access to these security codes. They are able to
program access cards (i.e. satellite Expressvu keys or Dish Network keys), the thin plastic wafers containing microprocessors, which
insert into the receiver box with these security codes. These codes must be
identified by the microprocessor, or smart card, for the receiver to gain access
and the ability to decipher the encrypted TV signals transmitted by satellite.
Hackers, also known as testers, alter the subscription
access authorized on the smart cards. The satellite Expressvu keys or Dish
Network keys information
are also entered into these altered cards. Some testers make a business of
altering and selling smart cards. People buying the cards pay a one-time fee and
gain access to all of the channels and services offered by ExpressVu or the Dish
Network. These viewers are able to either reduce or discontinue their
subscription packages. With these altered cards they are able to reduce or
completely circumvent the monthly access fee for
digital satellite TV services.
Circumventing the subscription fee by using an altered card
with legitimate Satellite Expressvu keys and Dish
Network keys can be a risky business. ExpressVu and
the other satellite programming companies, such as DirecTV and Dish Network are
working hard to stop this practice. These companies are continually developing
electronic countermeasures to identify users of illegal cards, discontinuing
service to people using altered cards and prosecuting people who alter cards.
Recent court cases, in some jurisdictions, have begun levying severe penalties
against people who circumvent their subscription fees with altered cards.
