SIRIUS Starbase Satellite Radio Tuner (SC-FM1) For
Connectivity To Non-Satellite Ready Radios Now Available
Sirius Satellite Radio now offers a new digital control unit,
the Starbase Satellite Radio Tuner, which makes it possible for consumers who do
not have a satellite-ready radio in their vehicles to connect to SIRIUS when the Starbase Satellite Radio
Tuner is combined with SIRIUS’ new trunk mounted satellite radio receiver –
SiriusConnect – and an antenna.
The slim unit of compact design allows mounting in single din slots of vehicles,
or with Velcro to the car dashboard. The new Starbase Satellite Radio Tuner
includes a 3-line display to let you see which channel you are tuned to, the
artist name and the song title, all at the same time. It also includes a
built-in FM modulator that can connect the unit wirelessly to an existing radio
over as many as 100 available channels. You can also play the receiver through
your vehicel's in-dash CD or casette player by sending the signal through an
unused FM frequency.

SiriusConnect trunk mounted receiver, the Starbase
Satellite Radio Tuner provides a complete end-to-end system for connecting to
SIRIUS regardless of what vehicle a consumer drives," said Larry Pesce,
Senior Vice President of Product Management and Strategic Planning. "Consumers
who do not have satellite radio, but don’t want to change their car radios, now
have another option to listen to SIRIUS’ 100-percent commercial-free music, plus
news, weather, traffic, entertainment, and the best sports programming in
satellite radio." Enhanced sports features let you know when your team is
playing and you can keep track of the game with play-by-play lists and scores.
The Starbase Satellite Radio Tuner features 'Song Seek' where you can enter up
to 20 of your favorite songs and receive an alert when any of these songs are
currently playing on any of the 120 digital-quality channels.
