Bored At The Office? Try XM Satelite Radio Online

Have you considered XM Satelite Radio online? If radio reception is a problem at your office but you have a broadband connection, XM offers a new service that delivers 24-hour, commercial-free music channels, and other exclusive XM programs available only on the Internet, for the low monthly fee of $7.99. XM Satelite Radio subscribers can add the CD-quality online service to their current package ($9.99) for an additional $3.99 a month.

You’ll be the envy of the office with access to the cocktail jazz channel “On the Rocks” and the eclectic, off-the-wall music channel Special X. These two channels were previously offered on XM Satelite Radio’s basic channel lineup, and are now available exclusively on XM Online.

Like the regular XM Satelite Radio service, you will still need a US billing address to subscribe to the online service. You can log in from any geographic location, however, if you’re listening from outside the US, you may not get a reliable feed depending on the local networking environment.

If you already subscribe to XM Satelite Radio but don’t want the additional monthly expensive of the online service, you can opt for additional equipment to make your XM access portable. To take your receiver to work, XM has the Delphi SkyFi audio system, a portable pair of high quality speakers and a high grain antenna unit that comes with a docking cradle for the SkyFi receiver. If you’re a real XM nut, you may even have the compact, customizable plug-and-play Delphi Roady 2 portable satellite radio receiver in your car, which allows you to view up to 20 stock quotes at once. Now you can have your XM everywhere: in the car, at home, and online.
